01/20/2014- The Russian website Almodi recently reviewed their first Thecus device and was not disappointed with the results. The N2560 “is built on a dual core Intel Atom CE5335 processor, and the price for this class of product is quite impressive – 10980 Rub.” “As was expected, the use of the dual core Intel Atom CE5335 platform allows the N2560 to get high benchmarks speeds that almost reach the limit of our gigabit network.”
The review discussed the well-known Intelligent NAS utility as well as ThecusOS™ 6 in great detail. Part of this involved Almodi highlighting the ease involved in setting up the NAS with this utility: “Indeed, all the initial setup steps take very little of your time.”
Besides the above mentioned advantages, Almodi also praised the N2560's low energy consumption and low level of noise, which means anyone can happily keep the unobtrusive device in their living room.
At the end of their article, Almodi's editors concluded with the following: “The Thecus N2560 NAS server is a remarkable product. Having server roots and the ability to work in the small and middle range networks, it will be perfect for various home networks. Its hardware allows it to operate at high speeds, its ability to support various protocols via Thecus OS means the NAS can connect with numerous other network devices, and its firmware update feature along with the possibility of installing official and third-party modules allow for growing functionality.”
Thecus would like to thank Almodi for the positive and detailed review!
