11/04/2013-As the bigger brother of the Thecus® N2560, the Thecus® N4560 can hold up to four HDDs. With this extra storage, the N4560 would be at home with any power user or in any SMB. But what do the critics say?
ByTheWay, the ultimate technology portal from Greece, is known for taking a very close look at every single component of the devices it reviews and this approach wasn't any different for the Thecus® N4560. It was dismantled from the fan to the power supply, and had its performance tested.
Not only the hardware was thoroughly reviewed- even the operating system got screened with the same diligence. The reviewer acknowledged Thecus's effort to improve the menu-structure for better usability and update the aesthetics. In regards to the software, ByTheWay also noted the available Thecus® mobile apps: Dashboard and T-OnTheGo™. Users with an iOS or Android device are now able to configure their NAS directly from their device with Dashboard, whereas T-OnTheGo allows users to stream and manage files stored on their NAS.
In terms of performance, the Thecus® N4560 didn't disappoint. The results of read and write tests of items with various file sizes were all good with write-speeds ranging from 86 MB/s to 73 MB/s.
ByTheWay concludes the review with the following words: “Thecus offers great support for all its products and has a very active forum where employees of the company and many users with great experience share their knowledge generously. I can say with confidence that the Thecus N4560 NAS left a very good impression on me. It is a must not only for ordinary users, but for business environments as well.”
The Greek website ByTheWay awarded the Thecus N4560® the Editor's Choice award thanks to its excellent overall performance.
