09/12/2011 – Tietokone, to the chagrin of all the competitors, invited Thecus to take part in a group NAS test. The Thecus N4200PRO outperformed everyone by a mile and was praised for its user-friendly interface and functionality as well.
Thecus offers a number of ways to connect to your NAS with your smartphone or tablet: “Thecus provides a variety of entertainment and utility oriented mobile applications for Apple's devices and Android phones.”
Thecus was the strongest in the most important factor: performance: “The most emphasis is put on performance, because the data processing for a powerful storage server is the most important task. Thecus was often the most effective.”
The N4200PRO rises to the challenge and gets stronger as the task gets harder: “Equipment performance differences become evident when the data from a growing number of clients was simultaneously requested. The Thecus with eight clients operates at more than ten times faster than the Buffalo.”
The Thecus UI is exemplary in the industry: “Thecus's management interface is stylish and well built. Other manufacturers should take inspiration from Thecus's excellent help menu. Also the basic features work well.”
NetBench Testing showed the N4200PRO with the fastest speeds from the start. As the number of simultaneous connections increased, the N4200PRO really showed its dominance.
An average of Intel NAS Performance Tool Kit speed tests put the Thecus N4200PRO far into the lead.
