03/22/2011- Intel Storage Forums are a great opportunity to see the latest advancements in the storage world. Words like “Cloud”, “Thunderbolt”, and “Connectivity” pop up in conversation and are discussed by leading experts in speeches and demonstrations. Intel provided a strong itinerary, with Taiwan's largest enterprise and SMB/home storage companies demonstrating their latest products and providing seminars on new hardware, software, and ideas.
In attendance there were media representatives from all the major electronics sites and magazines in Taiwan, as well as a collection of people from related industries. Everyone was getting first hand looks at the cutting-edge technology on display, and flitting in and out of the speeches that most drew their interest.
Thecus brought the N5200XXX and N2200XXX to represent their new XXX line of performance NAS as well as the product that represent their exciting expansion into the enterprise NAS market, the N16000. The new firmware V5 was also on display to show off some of its innovative features such as the new Piczza! photo server, a new Web Disk, and a user-friendly layout with comprehensive help and live search functions. There was even demonstrations of Thecus's new iPhone apps, the Thecus Dashboard and ThecusShare. The new NAS and the accompanying UI drew a lot of praise from passerby's, customers, and Intel representatives alike. All in all, the Intel Storage Forum was a great success!
