03/15/2011- Thecus and Intel's partnership goes back all the way to early 2005, when Thecus was a fledgling company fighting to find its place in the NAS industry. Now, only six years later, Thecus has already become one of Intel's strongest embedded partners and a leader in the NAS industry.
The 2011 Q1 Intel Embedded Storage Forum was held in two of the most vibrant cities in the world's largest democracy: New Delhi and Bangalore. These two cities have become emblematic of the magnificent growth that India has experienced in recent years. The storage industry was strongly represented at these events, with more than 150 people in attendance representing companies from around the world.
The two events featured strong showings from Thecus with their newest products on display in large booths for demonstrations. Storage professionals cam by throughout the day to take a closer look at the Thecus XXX series, the N4200PRO, and the N16000 and take them for a test drive with their own two hands. Thecus's new Firmware V5 made a lot of waves and really impressed even the most technically gifted critics with its new features, including EXT4 support, 3TB hard drives, Thecus's new Piczza! Photo Server, and a brand new Web Disk.
The event was a great success and, after the Intel Storage Systems Seminar in New Delhi last December, Thecus made a bold statement in India for the second time in three months!
