12/23/2010 – The N4200 has been well received by reviewers and customers alike, but it is rare when it shows its dominance quite like it did in the Russian media Zhelezo's latest NAS comparison review. When compared with a number of its competitors, it showed clearly that high performance and low price are NOT mutually exclusive. The Thecus N4200 received an incredible 9/10, with its closest competitor costing 1.5x as much!
The N4200 has one of the most innovative and functional additions to the storage world: "After a detailed examination of the device, we discovered something very interesting. This distinctive feature is the presence of a built-in battery, so that the repository can be used without a UPS. If the power supply of the Thecus N4200 is cut, there is still time for safe completion of all processes."
Expandibility is extremely important to NAS: “Another nice thing was a PCI-e port for installing an additional network controller”.
Though beauty is nice, one part of the appearance of the N4200 NAS has great functionality: "The Thecus N4200 has a large display, which displays important information about the state of the NAS. Configuring the N4200 from the display from the animated interface is simple and intuitive."
And in the end, all of these great features need to be run by hardware that can handle it: "Having such powerful hardware as the N4200, we can achieve great results."
