12/13/2010 – Info Hardware, based in Portugal, got a hold of our N4100PRO and gave it the full 360. After examining it from all sides and putting it through numerous speed tests, the editor was very impressed with the results. Praising the appearance, power, and affordability of the N4100PRO, they strongly recommended it for home or small business use.
First, Info Hardware had a few good things to say about Thecus: "Thecus is one of the manufacturers of NAS systems that has grown most in recent times. Although focused more on servers and NAS systems for the enterprise market, the manufacturer has strengthened its position in the consumer market, launching powerful yet affordable solutions."
At first glance, the N4100PRO gives a lasting impression with its sleek design: "Unlike most NAS servers, the N4100PRO Thecus has a very elegant look and nice lines, which explains part of the success that Thecus has had in the market. "
After citing its powerful specs, Info Hardware acknowledged one of the functions that sets the N4100PRO apart from the competition: "The above specifications, along with a complete interface and easy navigation make this a powerful mini web server, capable of hosting business or personal pages."
And finally, the bottom line: The N4100PRO performs even fully loaded with drives and data protection: "As we said above, the Thecus NAS server provides good performance even with multiple drives assembled and aggregated into a RAID configuration with fault protection. The Thecus N4100PRO is a very attractive system for a small office or company, and may also be used at home without any problems at the consumer level."
