With an embedded 60GB SSD, which houses the Windows software, it delivers enormous value for money, with the Windows License already included in the price. "The setup of WSS 2012 Essentials is done via a wizard which leads you through the setup in just a few clicks. […] Under Services users have the option to choose a cloud backup through Microsoft Azure Backup."
Unlike the Workgroup and Standard versions, Essentials functions as a full Active Directory (AD) primary domain controller (PDC). Licensed for 50 users/devices, it teams up NAS and IP SAN services with Microsoft’s Storage Spaces, thin provisioning, integral deduplication and automated client backup.
Finally, the team emphasizes the suitability of the W4810 for SME and SOHO applications. "With Preinstalled WSS the W4810 is ideal for SOHO environments." Throughout the article it stressed the following advantages :
