06/22/2016– The French website Zeden, which has dedicated it’s energy over the years in providing it’s readers with the latest information about videogames and the entire IT industry. Earlier this year they tested the N5810, this time they decided to look at a smaller unit, the recently released two-bay NAS N2810.
Evolving with the market, Thecus has continued to expand the feaure-set of it’s NAS.“Today, NAS have become more than just network storage for media. Like cell phones, they offer a range of applications, for example downloading, streaming media or even hosting a mail server. The N2810 is no exception to the rule, there are 56 applications that come pre-installed. We thus find bittorrent clients, DLNA servers, the list is long, there is even an app for Minecraft. All the applications are installed and removed with one click.”
Thecus’ newest generation OS, the ThecusOS 7.0, is packed full of functionality. Featuring an intuitive and modernized user interface, it makes accessing and sharing your data smoother and easier. “The OS House - Thecus OS 7 - liked it. Rich and easy to use, it is an asset to this NAS. The N2810 also shines with its processor specifications, it’s fast, and the available RAM makes running a large group of applications easy.”
The N2810 is a perfect fit for users who crave to watch their movies in immersive 4K visuals. Here were Zeden’s overall thoughts. “This Thecus NAS is very convincing and it shows good performance. It will play its role perfectly as a multimedia station, with good applications. The N2810 is easy to use and can therefore satisfy the most novice of us.”
