10/31/2014-Thecus and Tayle, their Russian distributor, held a successful press event on October 15 in Moscow. Adopting the theme of "Using storage to your advantage in a dynamic world", the event was held with the support of AVer and WD along with the special participation of Intel and Microsoft.
The event officially started with a speech from Tayle's CEO, Igor Belousov, who greeted guests and introduced Thecus. He discussed how Thecus was founded in 2004 and is one of the trend-setters in the small and medium-sized business IT technology, not to mention devices for home use. Since 2006, Tayle has sold Thecus products in Russia, and currently they hold the status of master distributor, representing the interests of the brand throughout the entire Russian market. Thus, they have taken responsibility for developing the partner channel at all levels - from sub-distributors to small regional dealers.
Of special note over the last year in the Russian market is that Thecus has made several important changes to its infrastructure that will allow partners to work more effectively in the market and promote the production of projects in various fields.
Moving onto the products themselves, Thecus has adapted the technology necessary at the corporate level of IT for use in the developing mid-market. High availability (HA), stackability, iSCSI, efficient expansion using daisy-chaining, Storage Spaces, and numerous file systems (including BTRFS) are just a few of the features available to business users who wisely adopt network storage from Thecus.
Tayle's CEO then went on to detail a number of other achievements that help highlight Thecus's commitment to storage innovation.
In 2014, Thecus was one of the first manufacturers supporting the new WD Red 6TB and WD Red Pro drives.
- Last month Thecus announced the world's first Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Essentials NAS.
“Even in a world of political instability and economic sanctions against Russia, Thecus storage systems are a reliable and stable tool for doing business in the country. Together with global partners such as AVer, Intel, Microsoft, and WD, Thecus is actively working on the development of the NAS market,” said Igor Belousov, CEO at TAYLE Co. Ltd. “Reasonable prices for high-tech products, as well as project support from the manufacturer, Thecus, have resulted in a cost-effective solution for end users, system integrators, and resellers.”
