26/08/2014- GinjFo is the first French site working on the topics of High Technology, Science, and Ecology. If that wasn't already enough, they also have extensive experience testing the performance of tech devices. Let´s take a look at what they think about the 2-bays intelligent NAS from Thecus, the N2560.
A Green NAS
As was mentioned before, GinjFo focusses on the relationship between high technology and ecology. Thecus also takes matters related to the environment very seriously, and that's why the N2560 was designed to be a particularly energy efficient NAS, using only 9W of power. “NAS can be configured to save energy, to restrict the hours and days it can be accessed, and save energy. This requires scheduling. The Thecus N2560 can then be switched on and off automatically at specific times on specific days.”
An All-In-One Device
This handy little device has no bounds when it comes to capabilities. “The uses are highlighted through six categories: mobile access, sharing capabilities, broadcast media, cloud backup services, downloading and personal cloud.” With more than 600 apps available, Thecus units possess the tools necessary for versatility. “Thecus provides photo sharing, and audio streaming (XBMC service), along with automated downloading. You can manage your USB devices (printer, engraver, key...) and it also supports mobile devices under Android and iOS (T-OnTheGo and Thecus Dashboard).”
Thanks to Jérôme Gianoli and everyone at GinjFo for the review.
