08/20/2014-Tech Week Europe is a huge site dedicated to advising users and sharing technological solutions with companies. As their slogan is “improve your business using technology”, it should come as no surprise that they've made sure to analyze the Thecus N5550. Let´s take a look at their findings.
About the Thecus N5550
When you're looking for a NAS, you probably ask for an innovative device you can trust in, so it's good to know that Tech Week Europe call the N5550 “a current solution to storage and sharing… [with] high reliability.” Equipped with 5 bays, the N5550 will cover all the needs of an SMB: “The Thecus N5550 is the perfect solution for an SMB. This 5-bay NAS supports HDD and SSD drives. Besides this, it also includes an Intel Atom Processor (1.86GHz Dual Core).” Furthermore, all this potential is kept safe thanks to the protected by a “strong metallic chassis”.
Tech Week Europe made sure to start discussing the long list of tasks you can accomplish using Thecus devices, such as “burn data to a DVD or Blu-Ray without a computer.” When you are using your phone (iPhone or Android) in conjunction with your Thecus NAS, the possibilities increase greatly. Using T-Dashboard, “you can control your NAS from a distance”; and you can “access to your files wherever you are” using T-OnTheGo.
Finishing their review, Tech Week Europe concluded the following: “We award Thecus in all the classic NAS sections: RAID, backup, data protection, backup to the cloud, file management system and easy installation. Besides, it's a great experience for customers who are looking for a multimedia solution. The price is an unquestionable advantage.”
Thanks to Mario De Ascentiis and everyone at Tech Week Europe for the review.
