07/07/2014-The last issue of IT Expert, Russia included a review of the Thecus N2310, the already popular 2-bay home NAS. In the article, writer Alexey Polyakov identified positive qualities of the NAS such as low level of noise, rather high performance, simple interface, and low price.
Even from the first impressions, the N2310 was promising a positive network attached storage experience. “The device is presented in the form of a nice tower. Its wide, rubber pads provide stability and absorb noise, which actually is very low already.”
IT Expert's editors easily managed to set up the NAS in a few minutes: “The discovery and initial configuration are done with the help of the Intelligent NAS utility (it will find the NAS itself and set it up in just a few steps).”
“The interface doesn't stand out as the one with a vast amount of functions, but it's simple and logical, and it has all the necessary things for a regular user, including statistics, logs, basic network services and protocols (e.g. BitTorrent, video streaming)”.
Price vs. Performance
Finally, the cost and value were very important factors that IT Expert also considered. “Even though the device is one of the cheapest on the market in its class, the results of the review turned out to be very good.”
The full review of the Thecus N2310 can be found in the July issue of IT Expert.
