05/07/2014- Unleashed by Thecus to provide users with an efficient and affordable data storage solution, the N2310 has taken the home NAS market by storm. The well-renowned tech news outlet, Neowin, put the NAS in their sights to determine if the N2310 lived up to its name.
Ready. Set. Go!
Making life simple for the home user is what the N2310 is all about. The setup is simple and painless, and for any needing assistance, “the company does provide good documentation on how to get this up and running.”
Due to its compact nature, finding a place in your home for the N2310 should be of little concern. If obscurity is your preference, “the small size means you can hide it out of sight.”
Once you're set up, the multitude of features loaded on the home NAS will be at your fingertips. And to ensure you have the ultimate networking device, a free DDNS is offered by Thecus, allowing access to the NAS and all its features via the internet at any time.
Now it's time go! Neowin put the N2310 to the test: “Using Intel's NAS Performance Toolkit, we saw average speeds of 74MB/s when copying from the NAS and 71MB/s when copying to the device. This performance is very good, and is actually better than what we saw on the Synology DS212.”
With such great performance, Neowin concluded that finding an affordable solution for your data storage has been made significantly easier with the N2310 on the market: “At less than $200 (excluding disks), the device is one of the cheapest on the market.”
Thank you to Christopher White and everyone at Neowin for the review.
