02/11/2014- Budding UK IT review site NismoTech has been strutting their stuff recently with numerous unboxing videos of an assortment of IT hardware and accessories.
Whetting fans' appetites for further details about the Thecus N2310, NismoTech this week released their unboxing and overview video for the impressive 2-bay.
It's really that simple
Being a budget NAS designed for home and SOHO users, NismoTech was impressed by the balance the unit struck between being “very light indeed” and yet “very strong”; and despite the affordable price-tag, the unit still comes with a 2-year warranty (a point not missed by NismoTech).
“The unit itself looks absolutely fantastic; I really do like the two-tone black finish. It definitely won't look out of place on your desk at home or next to your PC in an office environment.”
Really good indeed
The impressive array of features included in this supposedly entry-level NAS was also noted as being “absolutely fantastic.”
“Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD. Web-based file access. Built-in FTP server. BitTorrent client. Plex Media support. [The ability] to control it via an app for Android and iOS (via T-OnTheGo), and also do media streaming from the device.”
And the cherry on the cake? Setting up the N2310 only takes 5 minutes, and keeping the N2310 running only requires 5 watts of power!
A major contender
“So if you're looking for a NAS system that has all the specs that I've just mentioned… then this really is an excellent choice for you!”
